About Me
Hi, I’m Jamie — an emerging artist and photographer based in Burwood, NSW. I began making art during a career break from small animal veterinarian, as a way to reconnect with myself and find moments of calm. Since then, creativity has become a gentle companion in my journey — a space for healing, observation, and quiet joy.
I work with acrylic, watercolour, and digital illustration, often drawing inspiration from everyday life, stillness, and the emotional textures of the world within and around me. I also love photography, using both digital and film cameras to capture small details and soft light — especially during walks that invite me to slow down and notice.
In 2025, one of my acrylic paintings was selected as a finalist in the Burwood Art Prize and exhibited in their annual show. I’m also starting to grow a small art merchandise project, sharing designs that reflect lived experiences and quiet stories from my own life.
This portfolio is a small glimpse into where I am right now — exploring, creating, and learning to see the world and myself with more softness and care.
